Business Challenge
TRG was started in the early 90s by a mercurial management team they were a high energy, unconventional street smart company that had suddenly become a successful, multi-million dollar enterprise with most of the Fortune 500 on their client list. The company grew up, yet their image in the marketplace was still the small, young, aggressive yet ultimately more risky solution. Ironically, the very image that built the business was now impeding market success.
The company clearly needed to reposition itself as the solid market leader they had become.
Yet there were internal cultural issues to deal with, along with integrating the marketing discipline into a sales driven company. Moreover, the media and analyst community were unaware of the company, therefore trusted experts werent reinforcing and validating TRGs leadership position.
