919 Marketing Company successfully continues it’s efforts in positioning one of it’s long-standing clients, Kerr Drug, as a statewide resource on diabetes education. Kerr’s Fight Diabetes NC web site serves as an online center devoted to educating the community on preventing and living with diabetes, one of the leading causes of mortality in the state. The site offers a sense of community and purpose that is directed specifically to North Carolina.
‘We found a way for our client to channel their expertise without having high overhead costs and without the hassle of everyday maintenance,’ says David Chapman, CEO of 919 Marketing. ‘The initiative further strengthened Kerr Drug’s position as Carolina’s leading pharmacy for diabetes prevention and care.’
One of the site’s most unique features is a free forum where Kerr diabetes experts respond to posted questions relating to diabetes. Also available on the site is a complimentary downloadable 30-page diabetes guide that focuses on living with diabetes.
The Fight Diabetes NC site is part of Kerr’s larger campaign initiative, ‘Don’t Gamble with Your Health,’ which centers on chronic disease awareness and prevention. The red poker chip at the top right corner of the web site represents the Don’t Gamble campaign, which was created by 919 Marketing Company and launched in 2006.
Kerr Drug and the Fight Diabetes NC web site have been featured in some of the top media outlets in the Triangle including the News & Observer, the Herald-Sun and News 14 in Raleigh. In addition to media landings about its diabetes-education initiatives, Kerr Drug was also recently featured in the News & Observer as a model pharmacy chain. As many as 16 of the 160 Kerr Drug stores throughout The Carolinas are health-care centers offering an array of health-related services that build customer-loyalty and good faith in the community.
